Some quick notes!
- WU is perfectly fine, though T is preferred as it gets my attention the quickest! Beside that, I always enjoy chatter, and I may not always be paying attention to my XIV client!
- Expect MRP when diving deeper into Layla's character -- her history and experiences aren't made of sunshine and daisies, though her outward temperament would have you believe otherwise! She has seen and experienced much, without factoring in her amnesia.
- Communication is key! Be prepared to have in-depth conversations about your characters' motivations for being associated with Layla with continued interactions. Layla's story is NO LONGER accepting abrupt changes; what has happened in this woman's life is ironed in, and she will fight to keep what she has.
- I will not RP with underaged/immature players and characters. The subject matters that Layla embarks upon are decidedly not for underaged players. 18+ and mature on both ends, please!
- In the vein of above, I will happily talk through any grievances or misunderstandings with what has been dubbed "an unnatural patience", but I will drop interaction if it becomes toxic in nature. I'm of a mind to solve problems, but solving interpersonal problems is a two-way street; it doesn't work if one of two parties isn't putting forth effort!
- Layla is ERP-friendly, but I much prefer story-driven writing to sex-driven writing. Get to know the lizard a little! A bit of groundwork makes for smooth pathways!

An outwardly-joyful little bundle of sunshine, Layla seems to be a self-won woman of simple pleasures and few overt problems; a large one that she'll readily share is that for a time, however, she suffered from a bout of amnesia, though it isn't blatantly obvious -- several pairs of helping hands have helped this small lizard relearn daily life. She has picked up a lot of pieces of her past life through experiencing places she had once been, or through conversation with others that spurred her memories along, and while once she felt that there was a sense of loss, but contentment with her new lease on life, if asked now, she is doubtlessly pleased with the new life she has forged. Her interactions with new folks tend to be covertly-probing and somewhat teasing in nature, but once she opens up, she readily grasps at straws with the sweetest of voices to fluster those she grows comfortable with. However, when caught off-guard in humor, she becomes flustered very easily, and when pressed too far, even pouty. Such moods don't last long -- especially with chocolates, sweets and affection in hand.Layla has a bit of a free-spirit streak; she finds joy in wandering Eorzea, always ready and willing to take in new sights and experience new things, especially in good company. She currently finds herself bouncing between the major Eorzean cities and their numerous attractions to herself and her wife, now that they're retired from their medical clinic.Layla can be very easy to get along with, if not a little nervously stand-offish at first. Her unabashed curiosity and disregard for personal boundaries, once comfortable (and it doesn't take much to get her to be comfortable!), can be off-putting to some; but once effort is put into getting to know her, her selfless and helpful nature becomes evident.Layla has officially settled down; she has little crotch-gremlins! Her sole interests at this point are keeping up with old friends, meeting new friends, and providing safety to all she deems worthy of it, stepping into the role of mother rather handily!

- Layla can generally be found reading books -- even barebones twine-bound, ready-to-print manuscripts, oddly enough! -- no matter where she is. If a book's allowed, she's probably got one on her! But those titles, though....... wait a tick! Authored by Lady Worthington?! How did she get her hands on one of those!?
- Any mention of children is liable to get the lizard to begin gushing about her littles, Noey and Rel!
- It's quite easy to take notice of her musical aptitude! At all (reasonable) times, she will be playing an instrument, singing and/or humming a tune or dancing/walking with a trained dancer's stride. It comes naturally to her, and can be quite accidental in nature at times!
- There generally is a waft of sweet rolanberries that hang around her.
- Layla is quite flirtatious. A small compliment lobbed her way goes a long way to garnering and holding her attention.
- She is an eternally-curious information-gatherer by nature. Her attention will certainly be perked by new information, be it good, bad or otherwise! At her worst, she's nosy, and at her best, she's insightful.
- Layla's memory has slowly but surely been filled back in, for the most part. She recalls her name from before, though she no longer goes by it but would recognize/answer to it, and she has a pretty good idea of what her life's journey was before the traumatic event that metaphorically wiped her slate clean. It'd make for an interesting (and long -- and heart-breaking) conversation, once it comes to light!
- Layla adores sweets and gifts, particularly rolanberries and chocolate!
- Layla tries her best to be a good listener and/or sounding board. She learns vicariously through the experiences of others -- a learned method, seeing as she suffered from a severe lack of precedents of her own for a time.
- With a little planning with me, the player, we can certainly arrange your character having known Layla from before her amnesic episode, knowing things about her that not even she recalls. If your character was part of the Garlean Empire, stationed at or around the Praetorium around the time that the Allies stormed it, or was stationed in Dalmasca/Radz-at-Han/Thavnair shortly beforehand, bring this up!
- EDIT: I am still fine with potential prior ties showing up in Layla's life; however, they will not be impactful in nature, due to my OOC decision to "close" Layla's story. Sure, they may recognize the Xaela, despite her different hairstyle, but only in passing or as a brief experience, as of 21/12/2021.
- Layla has a decidedly-Thavnairian approach to her choice in clothing; only the finest cloth and silks adorn this lizard! Additionally, her choices of just how revealing her fashion choices are could hint to a bit of her past, to those in the know... There's only two professions in Thavnair that involve provocatively-dressed women.

- Before her amnesic episode, Layla was a brash, mis/c/hievous and confident woman, not above plucking low-hanging fruit for her amusement. She, to introverts' absolute dismay, has recovered this personality trait -- most topics that would make others blush or be uncomfortable are fair game to her, and she is very open about even her sexuality and curious about things that often makes others shy or uncomfortable. Shy or private individuals will be very vexed and/or challenged by her as she giggles at their discomfort and encourages them to be more comfortable, getting into worse and worse topics of conversation!
- Characters might be alarmed (or perhaps reassured?) with her willingness to answer very personal questions and her willing participation in topics of lower inhibitions. Not only will she gleefully start these sorts of conversations, she will readily contribute to them, even if not directly asked a question.
- Budding romances should bear in mind that Layla will NOT walk away from Thea, nor will she stop being deeply intimate with whom she chooses to be. Her relationship with Althea permits "fooling around," and fool around she shall, but she's quite dedicated to Althea for a number of good reasons.
- EDIT: Budding romances are no longer a firmly-available option, as of 21/12/2021, though the general gist of the above point stands!
- Those trained in the usage of aether would note that, when prompted to demonstrate her capabilities, she has an apprentice's aptitude with it in practice, but a journeyman's/expert's reservoir to work with -- easily betraying that either years of cultivation went into forming it or a it was a birth-given asset, despite her downright ignorance of it. Perhaps her potential hasn't been tapped into yet... or perhaps it was lost with the rest of her memories.
